A project to boost the Iseran area

Installed in 1983, the Vallon’s first gondola carried its last skiers in April 2024.

In May, Val d'Isère Téléphériques began to work on a new gondola lift, more modern, more efficient, and more comfortable.

This new gondola lift is part of a major initiative to boost the Iseran area, already well-known and attractive for the Pisaillas Glacier, which rises to an altitude of 3,185 meters.

In the heart of Le Fornet, at the gateway to the Vanoise National Park, the Vallon de l’Iseran gondola lift, which opened last winter, offers a modern, eco-friendly experience. Designed to combine performance and sustainability, it now connects visitors to the wilds of Le Fornet in optimal conditions.

The Vallon gondola now features 10 seats, up from 6 previously. It guarantees passengers a more pleasant, smooth, and comfortable ride to the Pisaillas Glacier.

In brand-new cabins, the 2,790-meter altitude is now reached in just 6 minutes and 30 seconds! No more long waits to reach the highest point of the ski area, starting right from the opening of the season.
