Vallon gondola lift: redevelopment and less impact on the environment

Nestling in the heart of the unspoilt sector of Le Fornet, at the gateway to the Vanoise National Park, winter 2024/25 will see the Vallon de l'Iseran welcome a state-of-the-art gondola lift. This environmentally-friendly redevelopment project features a host of benefits for users.

Skier’s comfort and safety first and foremost

The new Vallon lift will be able to seat 10 passengers, instead of 6 previously, for a quick and easy journey to the Pissaillas glacier...

A limited impact on the natural environment

The new gondola lift will follow the existing route, ensuring the balance of the wild flora and fauna is not disturbed.

To return part of the mountainside to its natural state, 30 pylons from the old gondola lift will be removed.
We are committed to transplanting the protected flowers that grow in the redevelopment zone.

The brand-new cabins will be able to reach altitudes of 3,185 metres in just 6 ½ minutes!
