Cross-Country Skiing

Treat yourself to an exceptional glide on Val d'Isère's Nordic loops. Young and old, beginners and seasoned skiers alike, glide at your own pace, breathe in the crisp Alpine air and head home with a head full of memories.

Walking trails

⬥ Solaise & Ouillette Lake


A groomed footpath leads from the Solaise gondola to Ouillette Lake. Enjoy an easy 3‑kilometre loop around the snow-covered lake, while admiring the surrounding peaks.

Bonus: La Plage de l’Ouillette restaurant is the perfect place for a relaxing break.
 

Cross‑country skiing

Cross‑country skiers will love the 2 red and blue loops, which are ideal for training at altitude.

Blue trail – Short loop around the lake: 1.5 km.
Red trail – Long loop around Ouillette Lake: 4 km.

 

 

Col de l'Iseran & Chapelle Notre Dame

 At an altitude of 2,764 metres, the Col de l'Iseran, Europe's highest mountain pass, and its Notre-Dame de Toute Prudence chapel, offer breath-taking views of the Vanoise mountains and glaciers. Accessible via a groomed footpath, you can reach this iconic spot by taking the Fornet cable car, then the new Vallon gondola.
 

Walking route from Manchet to Solaise

From the Manchet valley, take the Manchet chairlift and follow the marked and groomed trail to the summit of Solaise.
Route difficulty: Advanced level: short steep sections, crampons and poles strongly recommended.

From the Yellow Train terminus at Manchet, walk to the bottom of the Manchet chairlift (20 minutes), take the chairlift (10 minutes). From the top of the chairlift, you can climb up to the new Madeleine terrace and back (10 minutes). From the top of the chairlift, turn right, pass under the chairlift, cross the red run, follow the route that joins the tour of Lake Ouillette, then reach the top of the Solaise gondola lift. (30 minutes to 1 hour)


Bonus: Madeleine's terrace and La Plage de l'Ouillette restaurant are perfect for a relaxing break.

The panoramic terraces

⬥ The Bellevarde Terrace


Set at the top of the Olympique cable car, in front of the first-aid post, the Bellevarde terrace is the perfect spot to take in the view. Enjoy your lunch at one of the picnic tables, whilst admiring the surrounding mountain scenery.

Use the binoculars to unveil every detail of the landscape, and the information tables to guide you as you explore the surrounding peaks.

 

⬥ The Fontaine Froide Terrace

Perched at the top of the Fontaine Froide chairlift, this is the Bellevarde massif’s second terrace, equipped with picnic tables and deckchairs.
Bring your croissants and flask of hot chocolate for an unforgettable morning admiring the snow-capped mountains.

Driving on snow

Experience an adrenaline rush of a different kind on a snowmobile or moonbike, a new lightweight 100% electric alternative! The Pas de Tovière circuit takes you across snow-covered expanses facing Mont Blanc. Straights, bends, bumps, and flats follow one after the other for the ride of your life.
 

Fly over the peaks

Discover three unique ways to explore the summits from Solaise. Take to the skies with a paraglider and enjoy unrivalled panoramic views. Adrenaline junkies will love speed riding, combining skiing and paragliding for high-speed descents. Not forgetting microlights for a powered flight, perfect for admiring the mountains in complete comfort.

Paragliding

Evolution 2 brings you a unique paragliding experience.

Enjoy an exceptional view from the sky. You can contemplate the village of Val d'Isère as well as the snow-covered mountains. Comfortably installed in the harness and piloted by your instructor, all you have to do is enjoy the unique panorama. If the conditions allow it, you can even fly for a while. You will start from the summit of Solaise.
 

Sunset by piste groomer

Climb aboard a converted piste groomer to enjoy a unique sunset with family and friends.
In an exceptional setting on the Tommeuse plateau, sample local produce (charcuterie, wine, and cheese from l’Adroit farm) while admiring the sun setting over the Grande Sassière, the dôme de La Sache, Mont Blanc and Chevril Lake.
