We’ve got an exciting winter season head of us in Val d’Isère with lots of new additions to make your experience on the slopes even more enjoyable, and sustainable too!

Where the mountain meets legend : a new Vallon experience

 
This season, the Vallon gondola arrival reveals a whole new look. Designed as a true gateway to Mont Iseran, the space has been entirely transformed with wood and stone, evoking the warmth and authenticity of traditional alpine chalets.

But beyond its design, this is an immersive experience: step into the legend of a mythical 17th-century ascent. Blending historical storytelling with breathtaking views, it’s a timeless journey where the spirit of the mountains meets the grandeur of their history.

New relaxation area : a refuge spirit before the peaks

At the arrival of the Fornet cable car, a brand-new space invites you to pause before boarding the Vallon gondola. Picture a warm and welcoming cocoon, with a wooden, cozy atmosphere that recalls the comforting spirit of a mid-mountain refuge.

Take a moment to settle in, let yourself be carried away by this timeless interlude, then continue your journey towards the high mountains—calm, refreshed, and ready to embrace the pure beauty of the Alpine landscapes.

The pink gondola of the Olympique cable car reinvents itself

This season, the famous pink gondola is transformed with a new design that immerses both young and old in a magical world. More than just a cable car ride, it becomes a true enchanted interlude: the colors and atmosphere evoke dreams, the magic of childhood memories, and the gentle charm of an imaginary land.

Step aboard and let yourself be carried away in this cocoon suspended between sky and snow. Time seems to stand still, the Alpine landscape unfolds before your eyes, and already, the thrill of skiing adventures blends with the joy of a journey out of time.

QR Code

Pedestrian Return Pass

New terminals available

This season, accessing our lifts as a pedestrian is easier and smoother than ever. No physical ticket is needed: simply present the QR Code for your pass, available directly on the app, the website, or at our sales points, and scan it at the gates.

After the success of last winter’s launch at the Daille gondola, we have expanded the system: new gates are now available at Solaise and Fornet.

New Easy Skiing zone at Bellevarde

 
Enjoy the mountains at your own pace with the “Ski Tranquille” symbol, guiding you to green and blue runs suitable for everyone, for smooth and gentle descents. Easily follow the geolocated routes on the Val d’Isère Ski app for a stress-free return to the resort.

Following Solaise, the Ski Tranquille signage is expanding this season to Bellevarde, with logos, directional arrows, and banners to help beginners navigate, as well as “return to gondola” signs to make returning to the resort even easier.

Preserve Val d’Isère

Because loving the mountains also means protecting them, Val d’Isère and its partners have come together around the Preserve Val d’Isère project. This initiative brings together the Town Hall, Val d’Isère Tourism, Val d’Isère Cable Cars, the ESF, and many local stakeholders to take collective action in favor of the environment.

The goal? To raise awareness among our visitors and positively influence behaviors through concrete actions and key moments throughout the season. We highlight simple, sustainable solutions to reduce our impact and protect our beautiful mountains.

Electric shuttlebuses

 
This winter, make the most of our 5 additional electric shuttlebuses, making a total of 15 totally electric vehicles for the 2025-2026 winter season. Practical and sustainable, this service makes it easier to get around resort whilst respecting the environment.

By investing in electric vehicles and HVO (recycled hydrotreated vegetable oil), Val d’Isère Téléphériques is continuing its transition to a clean-energy fleet of buses in a bid to reduce its CO2 emissions by 92% by 2030. The goal for 2026 is for 100% of its buses to be electric, so that you can get around with total peace of mind.
