Admire a breathtaking view at more than 3000m altitude
Val d'Isère’s ski area gives you the opportunity to ski on a glacier, at an impressive altitude of almost 3,000 metres.
Nestling in the Fornet massif, the Pissaillas glacier can be reached by two main ski lifts:
Cascade detachable chairlift.
Les Montets drag lift, which takes you up to an altitude of 3,197 metres, the highest point in Val d'Isère.
From the top of this glacier, you’ll be able to spot the Grande Motte glacier on Tignes’ ski area in the distance, which is connected to Val d'Isère.
Set in the heart of the Vanoise National Park, you can even ski on the Pissaillas glacier in summer (mid-June to mid-July), which makes it a totally unique destination.
Just for fun! Les Montets T-bar lift has a double bar, offering you a unique experience for two. Give it a go next time you’re in Val d'Isère.
